Alright! We are officially home from our Club Med Cancun vacation and it’s time to give it the review so many of you have been asking about!
First of all, we LOVE Club Med! For most of my life, all of our family vacations were to Club Med, then I worked there which is how I met Casey, and this trip was our first time being able to bring little man which made it so special to us!
Okay so for starters, the resort is HUGE! There are plenty of shuttles that take you where you need to go but just keep in mind it’s big!!!
I’m going to review from a family perspective!
- *️⃣ to start us off, we stayed at Club Med Cancun and flew Alaska Airlines directly from Seattle to Cancun!
- 1️⃣ I recommend the “Aguamarina” building
- our room had a separate room with twin beds and toilet room for the kids was AMAZING!
- stay on the first floor if possible! It has a nice patio area with lawn chairs so if you need to be at the room for naps or rest time, you can still enjoy being outside
- this building is really close to the kids club area (more on this down below)
- has its own pool and bar area (can be accessed by anyone at the resort but again, convenient for families
- 2️⃣ Baby Club/Mini Club/Kids Club – Club Med Cancun offers services for kiddos starting at 4 months old all way up to 17 years old! Obviously it gets a lot more fun as your kids get older because they literally take your kids to ALL the activities offered like sailing and trapeze, but even for the little ones, they have incredibly clean facilities and fun activities!
- 3️⃣ kiddos amenities in the room – when you book, you have the option to have the “Baby equipment kit” added to your stay which includes: Bathtub, Bottle warmer, Changing table, Extra baby bed (pack n play), and Stroller (on demand)
- we didn’t need this on this trip but we did use it in Punta and Ixtapa
- 4️⃣ when booking, make sure you add on transportation! This means they will pick you up from the airport and drop you off at the end of your stay!
- always confirm with the resort that they have your accurate flight information! And once you arrive, check that they have your proper departure time so your transfer to the airport is at the appropriate time
- 5️⃣ we personally love that there are not a ton of restaurants/pools. I’ve been at other all inclusive and it just had too much where I felt like i was constantly making decisions
- 6️⃣ Activities – in our opinion, if you like to stay busy there is something for everyone! Gym, incredible fitness classes, sailing, sailing lessons, trapeze, beach volleyball, and so much more! I took Step class every day it was offered and it was incredible!! BUT you have to be willing to partake in the activities and check when things are happening! Or, you can simply enjoy your book on the beach!
- 7️⃣ Despite OUR love for Club Med, it’s not for everyone! It’s stunning! But everything is simple! There is a “5 star” area within the resort that is called Jade. But as for the rooms we stay in, they are beautiful and clean but simple. No robes or slippers and no room service.
Let me know if you have any questions! I know traveling in general let alone with littles can be a lot so I would love to help! 🙂
Also, you can the outfits I wore on this vacation as well as the toddler airplane travel activities down below!
