I am a health and wellness enthusiast who dropped out of grad school to travel the world and discover my real passion and desire for helping others! Like most of us, I am CHOOSING crazy over easy and embracing each day one dry shampoo bottle at a time!
I'm carly-ann
I am a small town Lake Stevens, Washington dreamer who can be found out on the boat, up in the mountains, or cuddled up on my coach with a bag of kettle corn, my husband, our two mini goldendoodles and our sweet rainbow baby boy!
I had life all planned out until my diagnosis with endometriosis began to dictate my life and I had to make some life decisions.
When I was 19 years old, after 3 years of being misdiagnosed, I found out I had the disease Endometriosis. After this diagnosis, I let it consume me. I jumped right into the “plan” of how life needed to pan out and put my life on the fast track. Work, marriage, kiddos, they all needed to pan out as soon as possible.
Finally at 23 I realized this was not how I wanted my life to look. I was not happy and something needed to change. So, I dropped out of grad school, traveled the world, and fell in love. I know, someone call Nicholas Sparks.
But it has not all been rainbows and butterflies. Life is HARD! Finding our direction in life is HARD! And it is ever changing! I am 30 years old, newly married and still not entirely sure where life is taking me.
BUT THAT IS OKAY! Life is a journey and one hell of a ride! We are all SO unique and such incredible individuals and we overlook these factors all too often!
So if you are ready to start choosing crazy over easy, then you are in the right place!

Before diving into my love story and how I met my husband, Casey, realize that we ALL have love stories, they sometimes just do not unfold the way our mind planned on them unfolding. Write your own fairytale according to your life and LOVE it unconditionally.
Mine and Casey’s love story is a bit unconventional and began LONG before we ever met. Now, this might be a bit of TMI but we are friends now, right? I can tell you this stuff! We have to start at the beginning for this story.

1988
My parents were working in Turks and Caicos Islands for Club Med (an international resort company) when they actually conceived me.
1990
I was 1 years old. My parents returned to Turks and Caicos where we lived for a short period of time while they worked.
1998
My dad was helping with recruiting for Club Med when he met a college student named Joe (Boone) Dell and he hired him to become an employee for Club Med. (Does the last name look familiar? ) Turns out this was Casey’s brother BUT Casey would have only been 14 at this time and LONG before his Club Med days.
2010
Casey started working for Club Med
2012
I went on a vacation to Turks and Caicos with my best friends (who actually ended up being my bridesmaids!). Casey was working at Club Med in Turks but, since I was on a girls trip, he was just eye candy for the week!
2013
I started working for Club Med in Cancun, Mexico. Casey just so happened to be working there as well and he was the only other American on the team. We became best friends quickly and then 10 months later we were both placed back on the island in Club Med Turks. This is when we started our relationship.
2014
After one year in Turks, we then continued to Japan for a year before returning back to Washington State in 2015 where we are both unexpectedly from.
2017
November 24th 2017, the day after Thanksgiving, Casey proposed in front of our families while we were all playing dominoes. (Our first kiss was also while playing dominoes)
2019
February 23, 2019, We said our vows in front of our family and friends back on the island of Turks and Caicos where it all began!
We now live at home in Lake Stevens, Washington with our two dogs and trying to start a family of our own. Check out some of my favorite blog posts on our marriage - the good, the bad, and the silly!
